CARL VAN ST. WRBA LEAVES A-1 LEGACY

Carl Van St. Wrba, 59, passed away on August 13th, 2012. He was born in Dahlonega, Georgia on July 19th, 1953 to Donald and Ann St. Wrba. A longtime resident of Austin TX, Carl graduated from Reagan High School in 1972 and went onto work for IBM for 9 years. It was after his employment with IBM that he decided to start his own successful service company, A-1 Service. In 1984 he began his life long journey with his great love Debbie. They were married in a simple ceremony on February 18th, 1992. Carl enjoyed watching Football, especially the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys, but his greatest passion was golf. He loved to play the game, but more than anything he loved to talk about the game. Carl could tell you anything about golf, as long as you would listen. He was a compassionate man that took joy from making others laugh. He often planned something special for family functions that would bring a smile to all. Carl accomplished many great things in his short life, but if you ask him, he would say his greatest accomplishment was spending it with his precious wife. He was preceded in death by his father Donald St. Wrba, and is survived by Wife Debbie St. Wrba, Mother Ann St. Wrba, sister Donna Hurst, brother John St. Wrba and wife Catherine St. Wrba, Nieces and nephews Angela Kilcollins, Rachel Lee, Rhonda Lowes, Donald Clary, Ryan St. Wrba, Garrett St. Wrba and many great nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. He is also survived by his dear pups Buddy and Sammy. Services will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday August 17, 2012 in Flatonia, TX. Carl was loved by many and will be missed by all.
