JAMES ROBERT “BOBBY” HICKS, JR.

James Robert “Bobby” Hicks, Jr., 59, passed away Saturday, December 28 after a brief illness.  He was born on July 31, 1954 in Wilmington, NC.  Bobby attended Reagan High School and served in the Army for 2 years.  He worked for many years alongside his father as a union carpenter.  Bobby loved Nascar and watching football.  Bobby was preceded in death by his parents James ((Bob) Hicks and Jerrie Hicks, sisters Sandra Dennis and Jere Jacknitsky. He is survived by his daughter Leisha Hicks King, her husband Kevan King, and grandson Kobe King of Malakoff, TX;sister Wanda Noel of Austin, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Leisha would like to thank the staff at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, TX for their compassion and excellent care of Bobby—especially nurses Diana and Zach in the SICU and Dr. Bernard Ezigbo.  Friends and family are invited to celebrate Bobby’s life at 2pm on Saturday January 11 at the Fairways of Blackhawk Clubhouse, 19308 Kennemer Dr., Pflugerville.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
